We had a pretty fun day today. The sun finally came back out and even got as warm as in the 70's today. Nate had to work thus we had one of our first Saturday's to ourselves. We decided to make the most of it and really make daddy jeoulous by going and enjoying the sun and water without him. So, we went to the "water park" without him. "Water park" is what the girls call it, but what that really means is a park with a fun little splash pad and pond with rocks where the girls can wade in it and cool themselves off (great for those of us not willing to give a "whale" watcher's show; if you know what I mean). Here were just a few snap shots I got of the girls having fun in the water. Emma found a plastic baggie out of our car and decided to have a little fun with it. She played with this the whole time she was there; filling it up and then dumping it out all over the rocks. She's so easy to entertain...Lilly loved sitting and relaxing... (at least I hope that ALL she was doing..)..

My Special Homemade Gift!!!

Nate & I took the girls for a (nice freezing cold) walk before their bedtime this evening and on our way home (which didn't take us long to turn around to head for the warmth of our home...what were we thinking; it was windy and freezing!!), we decided to check the mail. Inside awaited a wonderful surprise....
This all thanks to the wonderfully talented HEIDI PAYNE!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I love it to pieces and was so excited!! (And not just because I was excited to be getting a PACKAGE, but what an adorable creative piece of spring home decor!!) You really do love me!! (My freezing face is trying to thaw, literally, from the freezing cold... many of you who happen to be in much worse conditions than a measly 60 degree windchill will be saying I'm a big wimp; AND I AM!!! IT WAS COLD and the wind did NOT help...) Heidi, I love it!! I really do, thanks again for putting together something so creative and unique together for me!! Your the best!!

Spring is in the air...

We have def. been experiencing warmer weather down here in sunny St. George. It's been absolutely gorgeous and lots of fun. We are attempting a garden this year thus have been busy the last few weekends getting the area prepped (not too hard considering it was already put in before we had moved in,..). This last weekend, however, we decided to take a break as family came down to visit last minute..

The girls enjoyed adventures that ranged from learning a little of St. George history, enjoying the 80 degree weather by breaking out swimsuits, seeing pirates and taking pictures with a rather large hot dog. Needless to say, it was a fun filled weekend with family (thanks for coming down to see us guys!!) ...

Hot Air Balloons, Dress up & Sleeping while eating...

So I know I've been pretty bad at blogging lately. There really hasn't been too much to blog about other than the weather has been fabulously springy and delightful, thus allowing more time outdoors working on the yard and getting our garden up and running (yes, I know, I'm attempting a garden; only for the fact that it was roughed in before we moved in, so I figured I might as well see if I have a green thumb inside myself somewhere or not; TBD)... This last weekend, though mostly uneventful, was still quite a bit comical (esp with our very own comedic; Lilly... And for those of you who know her or have been keeping up with our postings; there is NEVER a dull moment with this little one (sigh)).

We first start the weekened off by discovering early saturday morning they have hot air balloon rides, right behind us, practically in our own back yard. The girls thought it was the coolest thing ever... They sat in the back for quite a while just watching it as it sailed on by our house, so fun!!

Now, while cleaning house later that day, Lilly finds herself once again in mommy and daddy's closet. Normally she likes to hide in there with her toothbrush and toothpaste and sit and brush her teeth (she really is though brushing and not just sucking on the toothpaste; so proud!!). Alas, this time, she has now resorted to pulling out mommy's shoes and trying them on. I had to get a pix though of her trying to get my boots on, it was quite a pix.

Later that evening, after a LONG fullfilling day of backyard prepping and mostly just being out doors, we find Lilly is just too tired even to finish off her dinner plate.. This is one of the first pix's I've gotten of her actually being too tired to eat (which again, those of you who know her, FOOD is not a chore but a TREAT!!). Nighty night Lu-Lu..
